Jamaica FlagSwim with Dolphins on your All Inclusive Jamaica Vacation

All inclusive Jamaica vacations offer fun and surprises for everyone; but if you have never swum with dolphins, then you are in for a unique delight. Dolphin Cove Jamaica offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim and play with the most intelligent creatures in the ocean - dolphins. Of all the things to see and do in Jamaica, this activity is not to be missed; which is why Dolphin Cove is one of Jamaica's most popular attractions. Admission to Dolphin Cove, near Ocho Rios, costs $15, and allows you a close-up view of bottlenose dolphins. Once you have entered Dolphin Cove Ocho Rios Park there are three packages available: a touch encounter which lets you pet a bottlenose dolphin costs $40; a half-hour swim with bottlenose dolphins accompanied by a professional trainer costs $90; and an unforgettable swim grabbing onto the dorsal fins of dolphins and jumping out of the water with them costs $160. This will be one of the most memorable adventures of your life.

Dolphin Cove is conveniently located near Ocho Rios Jamaica hotels. Ocho Rios is world-famous for its luxurious Jamaican resorts, and also as a major stopover for Caribbean cruise ships. The Ocho Rios resorts are laid-back and informal, geared to enjoying refreshing drinks while lazing on the beach and plunging into the inviting surf. While you can enjoy a whole week just within the grounds of an all inclusive resort, there are some worthwhile activities around Ocho Rios to lure you out of your hotel. Trips to nearby Dunn's River Falls can be organized from any of the resorts; and since Dunn's River Falls is adjacent to Dolphin Cove, combining visits to these two attractions makes for the perfect one-day excursion.

Those who believe that tourist contact with bottlenose dolphins is exploitative of these most intelligent animals will be surprised to find how friendly and ingratiating the dolphins are. The dolphins here are treated as well as in any theme park or zoo in the world - and they are certainly free to leave if they don't like it (there is a lagoon channel which gives the dolphins access to the open sea when they are not playing with visitors). Besides the bottlenose dolphins, Dolphin Cove Ocho Rios Park also features a large on-site aquarium with pools full of colorful tropical fish, stingrays, sharks and eels. The admission price includes walking a jungle trail with vistas of exotic animals. Other activities near Ocho Rios' all inclusive Jamaica vacation resorts include visiting Firefly, the home of playwright and raconteur Noel Coward; visiting Jimmy Buffett's fabled Margaritaville; and taking a trip to Island Village's Reggae Museum. However, there are no Ocho Rios attractions which compare to the unique opportunity to swim and play with some of the most delightful and intelligent creatures in the world. You will remember your visit to Dolphin Cove for the rest of your life.

No all inclusive Jamaica vacation is complete without a trip to Dolphin Cove. Located near Ocho Rios' Jamaica hotels and Dunn's River Falls, this unforgettable opportunity to know dolphins intimately is the highlight of all inclusive Jamaica vacations.

I think it would be cool to swim with the dolphins.  I've never done that.  In Florida, we do have a Dolphin that lives by a bridge and greets all the boaters though.
