Mine will be lunch, and I'll eat peas and rice.  I cooked up a big pot of black eyed peas with ham hock a couple of days ago, and I need to eat some more, then put it into the freezer.

I love peas and rice.

You don't know how nice it is to hear the word "prawns"!  When I was growing up, my mother taught me about prawns, but people here call them "Jumbo Shrimp".  I keep telling them shrimp don't get that big, and that they are prawns, but they just look at me like I'm crazy!  LOL

Even my Jamaican ex didn't know what a prawn was!  I was shocked!

Why salad dressing on top? The 4 slices of potato bread already too much....

I'll be having breakfast at 5:00 A.M. It will be GOLEAN, high protein, high fiber cereal. For lunch which I eat at 10:00 A.M., it will be steamed vegetables, a huge Romain lettuce salad, pasta. I'll wash that down with cold water.

Light supper will be cereal.

HEY!!!!

take your hands off my plate!!!...
A little salad here...A bunch of grass there...Yeah!...Look at the HORSES (how big they can get) with just a little salad.

No diet for me. All my 'dieting' friends are 'sick like a dog'...
Shopping bags full of drugs (legal ones, aka, medication /prescriptions drugs, OK?)...
If everybody is so health driven... Why is everybody soooo sick?

Trust me; 'the food'  is not the problem...
Our mental health is the problem: FEAR!

Eat drink and be merry...and still fit (loosely) into a size 14
(where I belong)
No aches... No pains... No walking stick No prescription drug
No hype!
Yoga anyone ?

Today's lunch is 'oily spaghetti' (fried style), with a pint of watermelon.
YumYum!!!... (I wish I had an avocado)

I forgot to mention that I had avocado with my lunch.

You are so right, weezie. It's the mental state that's making us sick. I'm eating kinda healthy, but I didn't say I was 100% healthy. And yes, I'm not as thin as a rail. I was just saying this morning that I do not eat any kind of meat and I'm still a size 9/10. I should be a size 6/7. Oh, well. I stopped exercising so no matter what I eat, I'll gain weight. It's the pasta. I just love to devour pasta. I also love cheese and indulge now and then.

I remember the first time Green Tea came on the market. I couldn't drink it because it smelt like senna. I think every weekend our mother used to give us senna or castor oil to drink. Ughk!! If I'd known about child abuse I'd have turned her in to the authorities.

That's what they used to tell us kids.  "Don't eat the yellow snow."

Well, you know how kids are, right.  Small kids would actually eat the snow.

For the adults, it was more of a joke since they were the ones who usually made the snow yellow.

The Quiznos by us are always busy and have good food.   Quiznos would not be considered Tex-Mex.  They have Italian decorations inside, but I would say that it is American food.  Kinda like Subway but a lot better.

Maybe they use local meats.  Here the meats they use are good quality and better than Subway meat.  Chunks of chicken, sirloin, etc. ... much better than the cold cuts at Subway.

I think Subway uses the same meat in every restaurant, and imports it if necessary.  Maybe that's why Subway is always Subway, and your Quiznos is bad and ours is good.  Texas is known for its good quality meats.  Other places aren't so lucky.

LOL.  Well, I don't cook that much and its more fun to cook for 2 or more than for one person. And my version of cooking is more like microwaving something anyway, not exactly home cooking.
