I have added about 75 carnival dates from around the world, but I know I am missing some.

If you could let me know of any carnival dates that I missed, please let me know.  If possible, please also provide their official website as well so we can link to them and verify the information.

Thanks!

Hi Scott, i was wondering why you have not mentioned Trinidad carnival........& also Tobago has its very own special too. Jouvert being a wicked & wonderful experience. Please give a  mention. Just missed them tho, carnival was early this year. Usually sometime feb/march time. I missed it this year but the withdrawal was too much so i am determined i will never again. Jooles.xxx

No, Trinidad carnival is on the list with 2005 dates (which already passed obviously).

http://www.caribbeanchoice.com/carnival/carnival.asp?id=37 - http://www.caribbeanchoice.com/carnival/carnival.asp?id=37

It probably isn't obvious since the Carnival pages only feature upcoming events, and we don't have the 2006 dates yet.  I need to make it more obvious that we have this information.

Scott, the dates for the Virgin Islands carnival varies. St. Thomas' carnival is right after the Easter holidays. St. John's festival is on the fourth of July. St. Croix, the parade, which they call carnival is the first Friday and Saturday in January. The Childrens parade is on Friday, and the adults parade on Saturday. Anyway, festival starts the last week of December, where you have the village, queen shows, calypso shows, etc. I think that Christmas on the island of St. Croix is the best. It's party, party and more party until the end of the adult parade (carnival).

Those are the 2005 dates Shucander.

I've been trying to find the 2006 dates for the Jersey City Caribbean Carnival all over the internet myself and I can't seem to find any official dates.  Several websites say July 28, 2006, and one says July 26, 2006, but I think they are guessing since none of them link to an official website.

If anyone has contact information for Jersey City Carnival or know of their official website, please let us know.

I know that there is a http://www.caribbeanchoice.com/carnival/carnival.asp?festival=77 - South Jersey Caribbean Festival happening in Camden, New Jersey on July 15, 2006.  That might be of interest to you.

Scott, Edmonton is known as festival city in Canada.
Here is the link http://www.festivalcity.ca/ - http://www.festivalcity.ca/

Cariwest, Heritage Days and Edmonton Folk Music Festival are my favorites. The city is very multicultural and a lot is spent on the arts here.

Hope the CC family could join us sometime ... it is a great holiday destination too.

A culturally rich celebration of 34 Caribbean Islands, t
he Chicago Caribbean JerkFest is a celebration of authentic Jamaican Jerk in its various forms.  “JERK” is a traditional Jamaican art of cooking thoroughly seasoned meat, spiced with pepper and smoked on pimento sticks.  Food plays a central role in family life and traditions in the Caribbean and the cuisine of the Caribbean is like a cultural patchwork quilt.  This festival will give the people of Chicago the opportunity to share in this cultural experience.

The first of its kind Chicago Caribbean JerkFest is strategically planned to launch Caribbean American Heritage Month (June 2008), and its goal is to help promote the cultural diversity of Chicago’s Caribbean population and promote the Caribbean in the Chicago area through a Jerk Cook-Off Competition, Cultural Displays, Live Entertainment, Domino Tournament, and the Kidz Fun Zone.
