How can I learn to cook from scratch? I do not know how to boil water. What are the fundamentals of good cooking? How can I become a good cook? What are some good cooking tips/ hints/secrets? I own dozens of recipe books but don't know where to start. Please help. I love to eat great Caribbean foods.

... just start ... be adventerous ... experiment with herbs and flavors ... get hints from all those cook books you have been hoarding ... go for it ...

You think Peddle going to show up after such a long time, CE? I'm sure she forgot about CC and also her password.

But I'd say that she should have someone teach her how to cook. Mother, aunt, friend, uncle.....

vutje, just throw everything in one pot. Scramble eggs still in the shell, use sand to make sandwich..... use mud to make cakes.......

Mud pies?  And authentic sand-witches made of real sand and real witches?  And still in shell drop-cooked eggs?  Mmmmm.
