So ... we have botica right in our own kitchen ... pure coconut oil ... free of chemicals and additives ... no labels and useless packing cluttering our landfills ... sometimes we really do not appreciate how blessed we are ... already green!!!

Before I go to the 'good morning' thread, let me talk about my attempt at making coconut oil.

First, I chopped the nuts, put in blender with some water. After blending, I squeezed out the milk. Next, I put the shredded nuts in a pot with a small amount of water.

Now here I am waiting to see cream form on top. Nothing. I called a friend to ask for some help. He told me that it is the coconut milk I have to use. Well, I'd already thrown out all that delicious milk and didn't have any more coconuts. I turned off the stove, threw out the shredded coconuts. I'll try again this week end.

Sure, CE. I'll get it right this time. Coconut oil is selling very expensive here. $8.00 for one pint. Plus, the vendors water it down by adding other cheap cooking oil to the real thing. They maybe use half or less of the pint of pure coconut oil, add some other vegetable oil to make up one pint. Me, I want the real thing.
