Lara pushing charity work
Published on: 1/30/08.

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad – While champion batsman Brian Lara is recuperating from injury, he plans to take on the added responsibility of intensifying his charity work.

"This coming year I am planning to be more aggressive in raking in funds for charity work," Lara said Sunday as he hosted about 125 children at the sixth annual children's carnival party at his home on Lady Chancellor Hill, St Clair.

Lara fractured his left arm after being struck by Leeward Islands pacer Lionel Baker during the last series of Carib Beer matches in St Maarten.

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
