It usually means you need more liquids.  Water or Gatorade or Powerade would be good.

I heard  people  saying  that  too,   but  I take every night a bottle of water with me to my room so I don't have to come down middle of the night LMAOto the kitchen Shocked

I have it too when I sleep with a closed window. My sleeping-room is very small so the air feels thick fast. Maybe the air in your room is too dry.

SmileNeeding more fluids is quite true. The best thing to do is to keep hydrated.

 Dry throat can also occur after vigorous running. This happens because we tend to "pant" while running, and breathe in through our mouths and out through our noses.

Though it is annoying, it is normal for one's throat to feel dry sometimes.
Drinking lots of fluid through out the day, will help the secretions to become thinner.
