As of 3 months ago St Barts is no longer governed by Guadeloupe. The government structure on St Barts was dissolved and a new election took place giving St Barts a President and council.
This being said could you separate St Barts from Guadeloupe on your web site and provide it's own designation for scroll downs and island lists ?

Yes, that is in the plans.  Several islands split off from both Guadeloupe and Netherlands Antilles, and we will be making separate sections for each of the islands shortly.

Thanks for posting and reminding us though.

If you have any suggestions for the new sections, that would be appreciated.  In the beginning they will be a bit bare until we build up some content for each.

Premium IV is the destination management company for St Barts. From our web site www.premiumiv.com there is allot of information that you can use especially from the " Your First Visit " left navigation tab. Also please feel free to ask me in providing you additional text to create the St Barts section - I just ask for a little promo recognition on source.

That is no problem at all.  And I appreciate your offer.  When we start building that section, I'll let you know so we can build a great St. Barts section.  I'll make sure that you guys are given credit for any material you provide.

I have a question about the flags though.  From what I have read, the French flag is the official flag, but some islands have their own unofficial local flag.  Is that still true with the changes that have happened?

The official flag of Guadeloupe, Martinique, and St. Barth is the French tricolor. There are, however, unofficial flags for Guadeloupe and Martinique. There is not an unofficial flag for St. Barts.
However this may change due to the recent change in political structure. It is a wait and see situation and I'm sure it's not on the high priority list.

Thanks for submitting the article in the other section.  That'll be the first article added to the new St. Barts section.
