Voting Limit Raised to 50,000!

Previously, there was a 2,000 vote limit on the number of votes you could vote for your country in the battle poll.  It is now raised to 50,000 votes per person!  The method we implemented to prevent fast voting seems to be working.

If there is a problem with people voting too fast, then we will put the limit back in place.  (Voting faster than 1 vote per second is considered voting too fast).

Also, starting next month, we may reduce the number of votes you get for posting in the forum.  The goal being to reward people who post without encouraging people to spam the forum just to get votes.  We may make this change before the end of the month, but have not decided whether or not to do so yet.

So to continue voting for your country, please use the poll to vote.  You now can vote up to 50,000 times!

Thank you.  And happy voting.

Clarification of Battle of the Islands Voting

The number of votes that you earn by posting in the forum has NOTHING to do with ranks on CaribbeanChoice.  The criteria for reaching Captain or Commodore have not changed.  Voting in the Battle has never effected your rank.

Further Clarification on Proposed Battle Voting Change

Other than lifting the 2,000 vote restriction, no rules changes on voting have gone into effect.  We "might" change how many votes you earn per post next month, and we might not.

Also, for clarification, you earn your ranks by the number of posts you make in the forum, NOT the number of votes you make.  So changing the number of votes you make per post will not change how fast you get to your next rank.

For example, to earn the rank of Quartermaster, you are required to make 1,000 posts in the forum.  This has not changed.  You still need 1,000 posts in the forum.

So if you are trying to reach the next rank, don't worry.  Nothing has changed, and it won't change, even if something in the battle changes.
