 Calendar Event: Bob Marley's Birthday

On February 6, 1945 at 2:30 am Robert Nesta
Marley was born. 36 years later on May 11, 1981 he died in a Miami
hospital.It was in the late 1950's when Bob Marley moved to Trenchtown
Jamaica. It was there that the young Rastafarian began to follow his
dream of becoming a musician.
Though his time spent here was
short he will inevitably remain known as (and rightfully so) the
greatest Jamaican singer, songwriter, reggae man, rastafarian, etc.
ever to step foot on this big planet we call earth. His musical career
began In 1961 in Trenchtown Jamaica where he formed his first group
which eventually became known as the Wailers. Its early recordings were
in the style called ska, with elements of spiritualism and mysticism.
By the end it could be refered to as Kinky Reggae Mon', Irie Reggae
Mon'.

 would you believe the first night he performed i saw him, it was called the Vere john hour. and it was a talent show. the audience was not impressed, but he turned out to be a genius, by the way he was singing on stage before he formed a group. in fact i think the group was before him
