I never ever had a monitor problem; but for the past month this monitor goes 'click click' and blocks out for a second...

Is that how a monitor dies ?.... I don't want to start no fire!

LOL!!!! not so fast...I tend to think that those antivirus are the problem to everything...They are competing for our computer, then they want us to pay them to stop messing with...

How would they make money or 'improve' their 'game' if they don't tamper with your stuff ?  You got to break it to fix it!!!

This one belong to my daughter; because for college students it's a must. When she is out (at school or work) and at night, then it's my turn.

How old is the monitor?  If it is very old, it evenually will go out.

4 years old...

Truth is every four years we usually get a new computer every time "The Sims Family" upgrade

We changed to this in 2002 to be able to play "The Sims 2".

4 years old... yeah they start to break after that time.

I remember I was once with a customer and was teaching them some computer programs and their monitor suddenly flickered off.  The customer told me that they have had that problem for a few weeks now and asked me what to do.  I took my hand and hit the side of the monitor and it came back on!  Then I told them that it was time to buy a new monitor!

Sadly, most of the time, its cheaper to buy a new monitor rather than get the one you have fixed.  But if you have a friend who fixes monitors, they sometimes may be able to fix it very easily, especially if its just a loose wire to the on/off switch or something like that.
