My suggestion is this:

We have about (give or take) 40 countries in the region.  The objective should be to get to know each. Celebrate each other...I'm not ashamed to say that I know very little about a lot of those islands neighboring ours; because we don't write our own Social Studies books or Educational Material, so we learn what others want us to (we know everything about far-away countries)

We pretend that our Island is 'The Island' and viceversa...which comes across a little silly

Why can't we dedicate a month to know 3 or 4 countries flags?...I think it will encourage passers-by to stop(if their flag is flying) and even participate and tell something about their ways and culture. Instead of giving the appearance that there is cronyism, which might not be the case.

Carribean people are not war-mongers; why are we engaged in Battles? I thaught we had 'overcome' that when the Pirates left the area...

Maybe a new name should be given to the new Battle of the Islands?  Instead of Battle of the Islands II, it could be something else?

I like the idea of learning about other people's countries.  Perhaps we could build that into the Battle of the Islands II (or whatever we call it).  The information about each country will be on the website and there will be a quiz that people can take to earn votes.

I like that idea a lot.

And what countries are we missing?  I think I have everyone.  The only flags that are not shown are ones that are part of another group.  For example, St. Martin is part of Guadeloupe and St. Maarten is part of Netherlands Antilles.  Their flags are not shown because Guadeloupe's and Netherlands Antilles flags are shown instead.

Let me know if I missed someone.  I want to showcase all the countries that border the Caribbean Sea, even the ones on the mainland.
