 Barbados has three political parties, ruling the country at present is The Barbados Labour Party lead by the Prime Minister the Honourable Owen Arthur.

The official opposition party is The Democratic Labour Party lead by Mr David Thompson.

The third party is a newly formed party The People's Empowerment Party lead by Mr David Comissiong.

Aruba has seven political parties.

Elections: Last held 23 September 2005 (next to be held by September 2009)
Election results: percent of vote by party - MEP 43%, AVP 32%, MPA 7%, RED 7%, PDR 6%, OLA 4%, PPA 2%;

Parliament : Seats by party - MEP 11, AVP 8, MPA 1, RED 1

Government: Mep 11, Aruba's Prime Minister. Mr. N.O.Oduber.
