One of these days I am actually going to install Linux on one of my machines and play with it.  I've used it before at work, but never really dived in deep.  I'd like to learn more.

No only to find the time.

Even with all it's problems, it still is the most user-friendly operating system out there.  Some others are starting to catch up, but for now, Microsoft still has the lead in this area.

Yeah, there were a few cutting edge ones that never became popular.  I remember Geos, OS/2 and a few others that were light years ahead of Windows, but Microsoft knew how to market better, and took over the market.  When Windows 3.1 first came out, there were actually competing products that were as good as Windows 95, and Microsoft actually copies them to make Windows 95.

Hi,
In my opinion Windows is the best operating system which rules the world among the other operating systems like Linux or Macs. They are the  most widely used operating system for desktop and laptop computers.

Windows was Developed by Microsoft, Windows primarily runs on x86-based CPUs, although some versions run on Intel's Itanium CPUs.

And Windows provides a graphical user interface and desktop environment in which applications are displayed in re sizable, movable windows on screen.

Windows comes in both client and server versions, all of which support networking, the difference being that the server versions are designed to be dedicated servers.

The Linux systems are getting better, but I think they are still for techy users, and not for the general public.  For techy stuff, Linux is often better.
