After a year and a half of saving and planning we finally arrived in beautiful Aruba!
Flight (us air) was great. Getting through the airport was tops 1/2 hour. Rental car was ready (ace). Check in at the Aruba Beach Club was smooth. These people were so nice & very helpful. We had our car broken into while parked at the Radisson one day. They smashed the back window and took a small white bag I had on the floor of the passenger side. I realize that it was a stupid thing to leave something in a rental car, but it just had our eyeglasses in it. I really would of loved to see the look on their faces when they looked inside the bag. I must say the staff at the Beach Club were wonderful they made calls for us. When the police came they too were great. All & all after a couple of hours the reports were done. The damage only came to $60 so not bad.
The best meal we have ever had was at Marandi's. The sunset tables, the service & the food was just an unbelievably great experience $120 that was app, meals, coffee & desert. Salt & peppers was also a great meal & service was very good also the bill came to $48, meal & dessert (great chocolate mousse). Pizza bob's by the low rises - great pizza & service was also great pizza was $12 & salad was fresh tasty dressing too. The frozen drinks were very tasty. The all you can eat buffets at the Radisson were really a great value only 19.95. The food was very good, prim rib night-Saturday & Thursday. Chateaubrion (sp?) I must sadly say that I was really looking forward to going to rumbas. We had heard so much about it. We went for lunch I ordered a mahi-mahi sandwich when it came it was only three inches long & very thin so much so it was very chewy, being polite I didn't say anything my other half sandwich was delicious. We might try it again for dinner next time the service was great & as was the atmosphere. The night we had our car broken into we went to Smokey Joes for ribs which were really tasty. The waitress was so sweet, when she found out what had happened she sat down and read us the menu!!!!!!
The best breakfast was at the Dutch pancake house in downtown wow we were so full we had nothing until 7pm the bill came to $20 great deal!!! We did De Palm jeep tour of the island. What fun, but word to the wise, you get very dirty so wear clothes that you don't care about. The buffet on De Palm Island was included as was snorkeling & drinks and of course all the swimming you want at their private beach.
We also had the best time on the mi-dushi sunset sail. The crew went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time and it worked!!! Someone couldn’t swim & one of the crew went in the water and waited for her so she could try the rope swing & another man lost his sunglasses & the crew member went in with snorkel equipment on and dove for the glasses - he found them!!! Most of all the people of Aruba especially at the Aruba beach club were just super. The beach club is small but it is made for a perfect, quiet, romantic vacation. The beach was beautiful and never crowded, the rooms were always clean and the staff was always helpful. Aruba is a very special place that everyone should experience. We hope we can get back there next year.
Thanx for coming to Aruba Kathy, we hope to see you back next year

I dreamt that I was in an area that I grew up in, I stood on the street and shouted, "I love Dominica". When I woke up the next morning, I was full of joy.
My name is Louis Sferrazza & I have been traveling to Aruba with my wife Veronica since 1977. We found out early on that Aruba has every thing we need in a vacation, from the beautiful beaches to great restaurants and the wonderful people of Aruba. We have tried other islands in the caribbean and nothing compares to Aruba. We have also introduced family members who have never been to Aruba and decided after hearing us talk about "our island" to take the plunge, and to our joy, they have also fell in love with Aruba and now join us for vacations. When you live a stressful and busy life like we do it is wonderful to know that as soon as you get off the plane it is left all behind, from the people at the airport who greet you with a BOMBINI to the friendly and very helpful staff at the shops, restaurants, and hotels that we have visited over the many years. This year we are considering buying a time share in Aruba and extend our vacation even longer. Yours truly, Mr.& Mrs. Louis Sferrazza, Douglaston, NY

My husband and I planned to renew our wedding vows on the beach at sunset during our visit to Aruba this month. I was surfing the web and discovered Reverend Robert Gibson's website. I emailed him with our request. He responded promptly and gave us ideas for our vow renewal. When we arrived in Aruba, we met and finalized the details of the ceremony. He arranged for the flowers, picked the perfect poem to recite etc. He took care of everything that I had no worries. We renewed our vows on Friday, April 13 at sunset on Eagle Beach by the Divi tree and rock pile and it was absolutely breathtaking. Reverend Gibson performed a beautiful, heartfelt memorable ceremony. Friday, the 13th was a great day! Reverend Gibson's website is www.arubaeloquent.comIf you are planning a wedding or vow renewal, Reverend Gibson is the one you want.
First, I must preface this by saying that we did not have a wedding planner and made all of the arrangements for ourselves and our 32 guests via email communication. This can be a daunting task stateside, so the fact that things went smoothly with everyone we worked with is a credit to amazing Aruban hospitality and professionalism. We used Angela with Bella Aruba Photography...what a joy to work with! Her work is amazing, and she created many lasting memories for two very unphotogenic people and their (more photogenic) guests. She even arranged for a color, full-page article to be printed in the local newspaper. (bellarubaphoto@yahoo.com)
Our wedding and reception was held at MooMba's Beach Club and Restaurant and we couldn't have asked for more. The staff set-up and decorated an arch on the beach, and provided covered chairs for all of the guests--just perfect for photos! Immediately following the ceremony, they had champagne ready to pass out to everyone, and wedding cake waiting for us. We had a private dining area under the huge palapa, and the food was great. And when we were tired and ready to head back to the hotel, our guests were able to continue the festivities with the live band and MooMba's bar just steps away. Thank you Evert and Liz for going above and beyond for us!
We wanted to provide our guests with a thank you for coming so far, so we rented out a Jolly Pirates ship the next afternoon. We all had a great time with the rope swing, open bar and snorkeling, and the Jolly Pirates crew kept everyone entertained with their DJ'ing, dancing and acrobatics. Carla and her husband were great to work with, and we've heard from many of our guests that they'd love to come back and do it again!
Finally if you’re looking for an affordable, welcoming place to stay, we’d recommend Buffam’s Tropical Haven (http://buffamstropicalhaven.com) Even though we didn’t stay there, we had guests that did and the owners Sherri and Rick went out of their way to make sure we were all set with the wedding plans. They provided countless driving directions, entertainment suggestions and even called US Customs to make sure I could get my wedding bouquet back home! (Also they make great coffee, which is always free-flowing.)
Thanks so much..I'm going to copy that down so I won't forget it..I'm
gonna order one for everyone in our party...we are all going to be first
time visitors!
