Ketchikan is the southeastern most city in Alaska. With an estimated population of 8,050 in 2010 it is the fifth-most populous city in the state. Ketchikan has two major industrys: tourism and fishing. Ketchikan is also known as the "Salmon Capital of the World." Ketchikan boasts the world's largest collection of standing totem poles, found throughout the city and at three major locations: Saxman Native Village, Totem Bight State Park and the Totem Heritage Center.
