The Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival will be celebrating its 17th year on June 13th & 14th, 2009 at the historic and scenic Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.
Ihave been going to the st pete carnival for te past 3 years and I love it. however, the last carnival I felt was more of a latin festival as opposed to the carnival that I am used to going to. I have been carnival in miami orlando new york houston and these carnivals were geared to the islands such as jamaica trinidad etc, the places you generally see when you think of carnival, nothing against my latinos but every other weekend and week in the tampa bay area alone you have puerto rican cuban mexican festivities. to do the same thing this year I feel will be doing an injustice to the other islands. this is a consensus, many people felt this way. and if this is going to be the typical carnival I will take the road trips to the other places I mentioned.

Where's the current dates? - Unlike other websites, CaribbeanChoice only publishes the official dates as released by the carnival organizer. Most other websites simply guess what next year's dates are. We don't do that. We want to make sure our information is as accurate as possible.
This page will be updated as soon as we get the official dates from the event organizer, or they post it on their official website, whichever comes first.
Note: We haven't heard anything from this carnival in awhile. It may not be held anymore. If you have information about this carnival, please contact us.
