The Barbados Climate Is Perfect For Tropical Vacation Relaxation

By Pam Quillerin

 Travel Review

You can have an overwhelming experience at Barbados, if you would know which time is perfect for the Barbados vacation. Barbados is the easternmost island in the North Atlantic Ocean. The Barbados climate doesn't vary much from season to season like the other islands of Caribbean. The climate condition is moderately tropical with the dry season from December to May. The wet season at Barbados is from June to November. The weather at Barbados stays sunny and warm in almost all seasons. An average annual daytime temperature stays around 24 to 29 degrees Celsius (75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the concurrent flow of northeast cool wind makes the weather enchanting and gives a cozy night. Usually, the night temperature of Barbados is moderately low in compared to daytime.

In Barbados the sun shines almost 8 to 10 hours every day from November to March. Even in the wet season the average sun shine timing is 8 to 9 hours every day. Also, the rainfall stays throughout the summer season. Usually, the rain is followed by sunny skies, which dries off the water. Barbados Island is a somewhat low-lying island. The island at central part has some rolling hills with a little landmass. This landmass is two and a half time size of Washington D.C. This many gauges of landmass keep the Barbados climate nearly unaffected by other tropical activities. Due to the orographic lifting, at summer the rainfall amounts reaches 75 inches at the highest area of Barbados islands. And, during the winter season the amount of rain could vary from 5 to 6 inches in every month.

According to the official reports, the hurricane's season stays from 1st June to 30th November. The wet season from July to November correlates with the hurricanes season of Atlantic. The hurricane that arises off from the African Coast moves towards the Caribbean. Usually, these hurricanes swing north around 100 miles from Barbados. As, Barbados is situated at far eastern location, this is why it always got spared from the worst impact of tropical storms. However, Barbados climate gets affected and becomes rainy due to the hurricane at Caribbean. The heavy rainfall at Barbados can only be expected during the hurricane season. Tropical rain storm stays at Barbados from June to October. Usually, the experience of tropical rains is magnificent. Island it porous and even the heavy rain fall drains off quickly because the water runs into the underground lakes and seas.

On an average, the chances of a hurricane strike are about once in every 26 years. The hurricane Janet was the most powerful hurricane of the Atlantic hurricane which came in 1955. It was also the last recorded time when hurricane caused severe damage to Barbados. Also, it is believed that there is very lesser chance that Barbados will get hit by a tropical hurricane. Overall the Barbados weather stays normal with the mixture of sunny and rain. The most favorable time to visit Barbados is a wet season during May. In May, most of the Northern America gets affected due to freezing temperature. And, at the same time the Barbados climate stays warm and delightful.
